Credential: 1-Year Ontario College Graduate CertificateThis one-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate program builds on prior education to develop technical and risk management skills to create secure solutions for preventative and responsive approaches to mitigating cyberattacks.
Students gain both business and operational technical skills and knowledge to create, design and implement security solutions.

Conestoga College facilitates recruitment on an ongoing basis - there are no hard deadlines. Typical time frames for work terms are listed below.
Postings are accepted beginning four months before the start of a term until all students have secured employment provided the minimum 12 consecutive weeks of full-time work is met.

Conestoga College collects data on hourly wages of co-operative education students and offers suggested ranges as a service to employers for the purpose of establishing fair and competitive compensation.
Our experience has been that employers increase wages as skills increase, particularly when employing students for more advanced work terms. The Co-operative Education Office can provide assistance to employers in establishing appropriate wage rates.
Work term capabilities
- Design and evaluate innovative cybersecurity strategies to provide secure solutions for organizational processes and applications.
- Create and document processes required for the maintenance and deployment of information controls solutions.
- Design and implement cybersecurity solutions and protocols to comply with current security policies, ethical standards, and industry regulations.
- Apply project management tools and techniques to manage the communication and resources invested in responding to an enterprise information security issue.
- Evaluate the reliability of information security controls through security audits to identify and address risks.
- Analyze vulnerabilities in networks and integrated systems to identify and recommend potential solutions to security issues.
- Develop and deliver internal cybersecurity training to increase awareness and compliance with security policies.
- Explain an organization's information security protocols, policies and audit results by various mechanisms including presentations and written reports tailored to educate the intended audience.
- Communicate professionally and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to meet organizational cybersecurity objectives.
